Happy World Book Night Day!

Today’s the day! It’s World Book Night!

Today and this evening I will be giving away twenty copies of one of my all-time favorite books to people in my area. This is my first year as a giver, and I’m both excited and nervous about it.

Hopefully the first two copies I give away will be to our server and the restaurant manager where Eric and I go for our weekly breakfast dates. After that I have a couple places in mind and we’ll see how it goes. The weather here isn’t supposed to be all that pleasant, but as long as it doesn’t rain I think we’ll be good.

I’ll be updating my progress on Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #WBN2014–should be a lot of fun!

Good luck to all the givers out there!

  • Good luck giving your books out. This will be my first year as well. I chose to give out copies of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. I’ve not got a plan either. I’m just hoping to run in to people through out the day and then go hang out by the bowling alley and movie theater later on.

Thanks! Your non-plans sound good to me. 🙂

  • Good luck! I definitely need to participate next year.

      Thanks! And yes, you should.

  • This is my first year as a giver too! I’m so excited!

  • So exciting! I hope you have a great time, and looking forward to hearing what you thought of the experience. 🙂

  • Yay!!! I passed out my books earlier at the beach. Genius plan on a mailman gift, too! You rock!

  • I was following you on Twitter and you seemed to be having so much fun. How did the rest of your book giving go?

It was a lot of fun and a smashing success. I’ll be writing another post about it that will go up this weekend. 🙂

  • I hope you had fun!

  • Wish I were in your area!
